If he was still alive, he would have turned 40 this week. So, we decided to gather together as many members of our family our extended family & friends on the Gold Coast to celebrate!
Here are some members of our motley crew!Saks at Marina Mirage was the venue & we were very expertly looked after by the staff. The food was great & the atmosphere fantastic :)
Here I am having an 'extended cuddle' [that lasted 2 hours] with baby Mia Kent. She is the most adorable baby girl :)
My brother Phillip was an Opera Singer - bass baritone. This cake was lovingly made by the mother of his best friend from high school.
It was chocolate mud cake & looked amazing & tasted delicious!
We had SO much fun on the Saturday night, that we decided to continue the party with a BBQ at my house on the Sunday.Can you tell that some of us had a rather late night ...
This whole weekend could have been rather sad & morbid, but thanks to my wonderful family, extended family & the many friends that travelled from near & far; it was a happy, joyous & delightful celebration of a life lived to the full.
Happy 40th Birthday Pip - we miss you everyday ...
